The Zelda series has been a huge part of my life since I was a child. Often, I would go outside, find the largest stick I could, and whack Octoroks… or the bushes in my back yard. Back then, I could not be convinced that my “sword” wasn’t real. But now, thanks to the Man at Arms series on the AWE me YouTube channel, the fantasy of wielding one’s own Master Sword is a reality.

Man at Arms has famously recreated swords from movies and games. I was not surprised when they said the Master Sword was one of the most requested projects. Drawing inspiration from the Ocarina of Time model, the Man at Arms team cuts, casts, and assembles one of gaming’s most iconic swords. Each detail is there, from the striking blue pommel to the image of the Triforce on the blade.

Of course, the video would not be complete without a test of the weapon. In the end, the Man at Arms team does it right, smashing several pots with their new toy. Seeing a real Master Sword slice through pots, bottles, and fruit is truly fan service done right.

What would you do with a real Master Sword? Did you play pretend as Link when you were a child? Let us know some of your memories in the comments below!
