BADBADNOTGOOD Remixes Zelda Songs

YouTube user, SeedsofYaris, sent a video to one of our staff members of the group BADBADNOTGOOD doing a remix of some classic Zelda songs. This video runs almost ten minutes and is broken down into three parts. It starts off with the title theme of Ocarina of Time, followed by Saria’s Song, and ends strong with the Song of Storms. Each of these songs BADBADNOTGOOD added their own style to, making it a unique listening experience as most of us our used to hearing the songs in their original form. I actually spend a good amount of time searching for Zelda-themed remixes. I host a weekly radio show and I try to play at least one Zelda song a week. Unfortunately, this particular song is too long for me to play. However, BADBADNOTGOOD’s remix is definitely different from a lot of other things I have heard. I like what they did with the Song of Storms, which happens to be one of my favorite Zelda songs. I didn’t hear a huge difference between the original and remixed version of the title theme. Possibly the remix is a bit slower? Perhaps I never spent enough time on the title screen to notice. I am not a big fan of what I think is a jazz style version of Saria’s Song.
