There is just one video game weapon that has proven time and time again that darkness is no match for it, and that is the Master Sword. Zelda fans from all over continue to admire the beauty of the Blade of Evil’s Bane, and artists are no exception. One particular artist who really appreciates how special this weapon is looks to finish their sword-related artwork with some upgrades. The artist we’re talking about today is Ivan Ramirez from the YouTube channel MyKindaArt, who takes their acrylic painting of the Master Sword and gives it a facelift.

Ramirez’s original decision to create this painting was not only due to his admiration for this legendary weapon, but also to combine his drawing talent with his painting skills. To help give this portrait a digital clean-up, Ramirez used an iPad Pro combined with an Apple Pencil 2 and the Procreate picture editing software. The original inspiration for this artwork came from official artwork of the Master Sword from A Link Between Worlds.

The MyKindaArt channel isn’t just about what Ramirez can bring to life with his artwork, as he also has how-to videos for creating all sorts of arts and crafts. There are even videos on the channel based on games, as well as others more focused on movies and TV. If those aren’t your cup of tea, there’s also videos dedicated to showing you how to implement certain drawing techniques.

If you want to keep up with what Ivan Ramirez is working on next, you can follow him on Redbubble, Society6, Instagram, and DeviantArt.
