Ancient Armor and Sword Releasing for Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity as an Expansion Pass Bonus

Many minds may be lingering on news regarding The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild 2 and The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword HD, but for those who are still enjoying the Musou action of Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity, good news comes today. Posted on the game’s official Japanese Twitter account is a glimpse at the new items being offered as the Purchase Bonus for the Expansion Pass. Those items are the Prototype Ancient Armor (Prototype Ancient Helm, Prototype Ancient Cuirass, & Prototype Ancient Greaves) and the Prototype Ancient Tech Sword, both for use as Link.

The tweet, which is currently only in Japanese as of this writing reads approximately as such:
With sales beginning for the [Hyrules Warriors: Age of Calamity] Expansion Pass and the primary content involving the main story, the first new addition will arrive May 28th.

Weapon for Link: Prototype Ancient Tech SwordEnjoy your adventure with this new equipment until the rest of the Expansion Pass arrives.
The Ancient Armor and Ancient Sword will be made available May 28th to anyone who has purchased the DLC for Age of Calamity. “Wave 1” of the DLC will release in June, and “Wave 2” will release in November.
With the bulk of the Age of Calamity Expansion Pass content likely to be announced at E3, this serves as a nice treat to whet the appetite until it arrives in full!
