An amazing and talented crafter named Linda, also known as Eponases, recreated the the iconic stained glass window from the Wind Waker in cross stitching! This beautiful piece took 8 months to create. The above video is comprised 585 progress images that were taken during the crafting process. The stitching was done on 18 count aida, the final piece being 34cm x 22.5cm (13.5″ x 8.7″), and required 37,446 stitches to complete!

When asked about whether she always counts how many stitches she uses for her projects, Linda said, “Only when I’m desperately trying to compose an interesting title for my Reddit post”. Joking aside, Linda revealed that she used multiplication to figure out how many stitches she used for her project.

This video is a time lapse to show the progress from start to finish. It took Linda 3 days to edit through all the progress photographs.
