Amazing Image of Link in Salt

Youtube user Bashirsultani has made quite a few videos displaying his skill in salt art. Which is creating pictures of various characters and images with nothing more than salt on a dark surface. This time he has made an impressive picture of Link from Legend of Zelda using nothing more than salt and some ingenuity. The video goes over the entire process from beginning to ending showing the viewer how each and everything was made. The video is sped up for time although it still shows us that the complete image was made in a very short amount of time. Check out the video just after the jump.

The quality of this image was well above what I was expecting when I first heard “salt art.” Needless to say, I was thoroughly impressed with what he created and how quickly he made it. He managed to capture light and dark shades with just varying amounts of salt moved around with a piece of paper. He even got all the little tiny details on the tunic and chainmaille shirt. and then he smears all of it away at the end. It was almost painful.
