Akira Himekawa Announces Production of a New Zelda Comic
Posted on July 02 2015 by Alexis S. Anderson
At long last, Akira Himekawa has decided to produce another Legend of Zelda manga! For the first time in seven years, the duo that brought us Zelda mangas for most of the games since Ocarina of Time and was responsible for the Skyward Sword comic in the back of Hyrule Historia is at it again. Himekawa has already begun writing the new comic, though they have yet to announce which Zelda game it will be based on. Also, the comic is expected to be finished sometime this year, according to Nintendo Everything. See Himekawa’s official announcement after the jump.

This was the best translation I could find, courtesy of Babylon Translations:
“News in 2015, for the first time in seven years the Himekawa Akira “The Legend of Zelda” comic series will be resurrected. New things to draw it has been decided!! But the writing is already started. [Untranslatable, but the gist was follow Himekawa on social media for updates], or for more information. Thank you for your understanding. Cheers!”
Akira Himekawa has also put an announcement up on their official website, but advise people to follow their blog or twitter page for updates. Are you excited to have a new Zelda manga installment from Akira Himekawa? Do you think it could do as well as the Link to the Past manga reprint did? What game are you hoping to see the comic be based on? Share your thoughts in the comments!
