We have already had a great deal of information regarding the upcoming A Link Between Worlds, and yet it appears that there are still new aspects of the game being revealed all the time. In an interview with German website Gameswelt, series producer Eiji Aonuma revealed more info about the 3DS game which is sure to please those who enjoy seeking challenges in games. Hit the jump to find out more.
Following in the footsteps of Skyward Sword and The Wind Waker HD, A Link Between Worlds is to have an unlockable higher difficulty setting, available after completing an initial playthrough of the game. It is not yet fully known what changes will be made in this second quest, but it is likely that it will borrow aspects from hard modes in previous titles, such as enemies inflicting double damage and the removal of hearts as a means to fill one’s life meter.
Aonuma also discussed the development of the game itself, revealing that the development team included more than 90 people, and that initial ideas for the game were conceived just after Spirit Tracks, meaning that the total development time for the game would clock in at just under four years.
The full interview with Aonuma has not yet been released at the time of writing, but you can eventually check out the full interview (in German) on the Gameswelt website here.
But what do you think? Is the return of a harder difficulty level one which you welcome, or do you think that it’s an unnecessary addition which adds no value to games? Tell us in the comments below.
