Would You Rather: Edition V
Posted on December 05 2013 by Cassie
Hello Zelda fans and welcome to a new edition of “Would You Rather!” There was some great discussion on last week’s edition concerning the uses and consequences of both Ezlo and the Rod of Seasons. Lets see if we can be that awesome again this time! If you missed out last time you can go check it out here and contribute to the conversation. Today we have an exciting match-up for you that concerns a lifestyle choice and what kind of disciple you would want to be. Hit the jump to read more!
Have you ever watched a show, a movie or played a game and thought how epic it would be to take on the life and persona of a character that kicks butt and takes names? I know I sure have. Anything from Kung Fu to semi-thug gangs dancing in the streets is a formula for some temporary but totally sincere thoughts about what it would be like to train my hardest and become a master. Sadly, a two minute montage of Rocky training hard in the mountains or Bruce Wayne doing hanging crunches in a desert prison is not enough to convince me to jump up and start training. What about you? This is what our match up is for today, and I hope you like your choices. Would you rather train to be, and eventually become, a Gerudo Thief or a Knight of Skyloft?
Both of these options are in-depth and exciting. Personally I don’t know which one I would choose! But let’s check out some aspects of each in the helpful lists below and see if a decision can be made
Knight of SkyLoft
- Small, isolated area to defend, possibly making for a boring job
- Knights are highly ranked and looked to as both protectors and mentors
- Training includes both physical and intellectual exercises
- You automatically get a Loftwing
- The general community of knights can be overly competitive and petty, but there is also the potential for great friendship
- Being a knight is a life-long pursuit, though there is little chance of dying in action
- Totally cool gear, your own space and a beautiful home mean that although you will be busy drilling and learning, there is always the strong likelihood of satisfaction (if you are okay with not really fighting)
Gerudo Thief
- Weapons expert
- Capable gymnist
- Part of a tight-knit community
- Although uncommon, men can be indoctrinated into the group, and from our experiences they turn out pretty strong!
- General surroundings are plain, but contain massed amount of stolen riches, providing a lifestyle consisting of both hard work and luxury
- Because every member of the community is fully trained, the social environment can be very cold despite the fierce loyalty of members
- All participants are wiling and capable of completing missions outside of the base, and since the Gerudo are constantly living on the edge, it is practically a guarantee that you will never truly be idle, for better or for worse
The situation of each culture is hugely different, so should be taken into account on top of the skills that you would learn. Would you be up for a lifestyle of constant vigilance but also constant action, or would you prefer a life of continued training and only the occasional mission, most of which would be domestic? Let us know in the comments!
