Ocarina of Time VERSUS: AttackingTucans and JoshJepson

YouTube dynamic duo AttackingTucans and JoshJepson have recently added a Zelda game to their new VERSUS channel. They plan to face off against each other in a race through time, Ocarina of Time that is! Originally, JoshJepson and AttackingTucans hosted individual channels with websiodes containing similar content until recently when they decided to combine forces on February 2nd 2013.

Currently they are on a mission to outrun each other by competing temple to temple, collecting weapons, skulltulas, maps, masks, side quests, minigames, compasses and of course the spiritual stones and sage medallions. Defeat or victory is decided when only one walks into the blue light of warping at the end of each race. Currently they are 3 to 1, but who is winning?

These two have been going at it before their newly added Zelda challenge, covering Super Mario Sunshine, Super Mario 64 and Luigi’s Mansion. Each with their own online presence, they have established themselves as both individually notable YouTubers with a hardcore following, one of which is an owl!? Prepare yourself for vulgar language, purposely offensive conversations and just flat out good humor. Even though you will be watching 15-mins of video, the high intensity of competition and hilarious antics of the players should have no problem holding your attention. One of the best parts about each episode is the comedic intro skit, where they relate the events that transpire between temples with wry commentary and irreverent wit … “just having fun with it.”

We all know the feeling of playing through a Zelda temple with an audience. The pressure, the countless comments, and the way people’s eyes seem to all say “I can do this so much faster & better than you.” Well now the pressure is on for Tyler and Josh and you can watch what happens and judge them or cheer for them as you see fit. Maybe a couple times I felt like I could have done certain parts differently for example: trying to fall through the webbing on the floor in the Deku Tree to the lower level and missing out, twice! We’ve all been there.
