Impressive Wind Waker Painting by Zaphk

Deviantart member Zaphk has recently posted a painting commemorating Wind Waker. The beautifully done painting displays Link, Zelda, and Ganondorf in the very recognizable triangular pattern surrounded by various characters and scenes from the game. Forgoing the cartoonish scheme that Wind Waker has been so known for, she has remade every detail in a more realistic and classical style. Jump inside to check it out for yourself.

I have never been down on Wind Waker graphics before but just looking at this makes me think “Why couldn’t it look like this?” I love the style behind this painting, it looks so renaissance and captures little things like that ship in the Forsaken Fortress or Cyclos and Zephos so well. I honestly think this would make an excellent book cover were any adaptation ever made. I think I like this look of Ganondorf a little more than what we have seen in most of the games.
