Daily Debate: What Gift Would You Give Link for Christmas?

One of my favorite things about Christmas is getting to see the joy on people’s faces when they receive a gift. I love watching their surprise when they unwrap a really cool collectible, or just something they didn’t realise they really wanted. When I put this together with my love of all things Zelda, I got to wondering what I would gift Link for Christmas. After all, our hero works hard to save the kingdom, so he deserves a really good present.

Link has got a bunch of weapons, including the Master Sword, so I don’t think new arsenal is the way to go. I thought about some new kit or clothes, since he’s such a fashionista in recent games, but decided against that too. My mind wandered to some type of experience gift, but Link has seen and done so many things that I doubt I could organise something remotely as exciting as paragliding over Hyrule. But on that tangent, I think I’d see to it that he gets a whole day where he doesn’t have to be responsible for anyone or anything. He wouldn’t need to feel the weight of his blade, or have to traipse across the country to resolve somebody’s minor issue. And I’d cook up a feast of all his favorite foods and bring all of his favorite people over to enjoy it.

I suppose, in a nutshell, I’d gift him a day of peace.
