New Australian Tears of the Kingdom Ad Gets In Touch With The Legend of Zelda’s More Wholesome Side

As the only editor on the team here from Australia, I can assert that we here down under do not often get much in the way of unique Zelda news. We didn’t even get any exclusive pre-order bonuses at all for Tears of the Kingdom. Though we do get much easier access to Japan, I suppose. Every so often, we get something in the way of a unique ad for things, and we’re thankful for that much. One such ad for Tears of the Kingdom, posted yesterday on NintendoAU’s YouTube channel, is a nice little reminder of the simpler pleasures.
The ad, titled “Rediscover your Sense of Adventure,” features a worn-out businessman rediscovering his childhood joy as he tinkers with Tears of the Kingdom‘s new “Fuse” function. It’s a really sweet ad that’s an interesting break from the more action-oriented trailers out there for the new Zelda title. Interestingly enough, it’s one of the less common Nintendo ads that seem exclusively aimed at an older demographic. As near as one can tell, the businessman in the ad doesn’t have kids at all, and the title seems to be aimed at tapping into older players’ nostalgia.
Much like other ads close to the release window, there’s nothing new on display here, but it is a really comfy look into the warmth this series brings to many of us longtime fans. You can watch the ad yourself up above or on NintendoAU’s YouTube here.
What are your thoughts? How do you intend to “Rediscover your Sense of Adventure?” Do you like comfy ads like this or more action-packed ones? Let us know in the comments below!
