Come Celebrate March of the Koroks, 463 Individually Drawn Koroks on One Massive Canvas!
Posted on March 09 2022 by Charles Xavier
March of the Koroks is finally here! The original idea by Zelda Creators Moderator TC (@VirgoTriangulum) was a collaboration of 900 artists to draw 900 Koroks, which would then be compiled onto a large canvas and posted on social media on Zelda Twitter Korok Day (which has become recognized as the 9th of any month among the Zelda Creators community).
231 artists contributed, and in the end, 463 individual Koroks ended up on the canvas (that’s more than enough for Link to max out his inventory in Breath of the Wild)! So much hard work was put into this finished product; from the organization of the project by BuffHestu (@BuffHestu) and the Zelda Creators Moderation team, to the artists that created all the unique Koroks, it’s all been super impressive! A lot of credit also goes to JoeyJ (@heyheyitsjoeyj), Zelda Creators’ Senior Moderator who spent over 12 hours creating the final canvas, while also giving periodic updates throughout this morning leading up to the finished product – she deserves some well earned rest!
You can find a list of the names and social media links of everyone who contributed on Buff Hestu’s website. Take a look at the second Twitter thread below for close-ups of of the canvas; we will highlight a few of them in the image gallery further below.
HERE IT IS! Over 230 creators contributed over 450 individually drawn and customized Koroks to create this GIANT canvas! Happy #MarchoftheKoroks and #ZeldaTwtKorokDay!

If you enjoy the March of the Koroks canvas, definitely check out the Zelda Creators Discord Server, a hub for Zelda artists and fans. While not every collaboration they host is as large as this, there will definitely be more in the future, and already there are talks of doing March of the Koroks again next year. They also offer various monthly thematic art prompts, as well as some other cool events, like opportunities to join a team to collaborate on a thematic server banner, or to craft a new server logo! They also do monthly spotlights of registered creators on their Twitter and Instagram! However, the best part of the server is the wonderful community that is extremely friendly and supportive; and really, what more could you ask for as long as they have that?!
March of the Koroks has been such an awesome project that I am glad I contributed to. Through it, I have made new friends, and I can’t wait for the next collab that gets organized! Did you draw a Korok for March of the Koroks? If you did, where is your Korok on the canvas? Will you help us make Zelda Twitter Korok Day a paid holiday in the future? Let us know in the comments below!
