Caption Contest 290: “We still don’t have parachutes.”
Posted on March 08 2021 by Rod Lloyd
Greetings, Zelda fans! I hope you’ll forgive me for taking a week off, but we are back now with another Zelda Dungeon Caption Contest! A few weeks ago, Nintendo surprised many by announcing Skyward Sword HD, a remaster of the Wii-exclusive Zelda adventure. With upscaled graphics and button-only control options, this game might just change the minds of fans who wrote the game off ten years ago. Our boy Andy said as much over the weekend. So, with Skyward Sword HD primed to potentially rescue its SD predecessor from the pit of negative fan opinion, we’re featuring an image of Link saving Zelda from an equally dark pit in this week’s contest.
Our Last Contest:
We celebrated Oracle Week with a trip to Subrosia.

Here are our non-photo caption winners:
- anonymous: Hey kid, we just opened the lava baths to visitors. You wanna come?
Link: Oh heck no - SkyloftianD6: “Oh yeah? Can your science explain why it rains?”
“Yes! Yes it can!” - Chevywolf30: “This isn’t a typical sidequest! I swear!”
- Puggame487: “Extra Anime!”
This Week’s Contest:
I’m not going to lie. This HD image just isn’t wowing me.
Here are the guidelines:
- Please refrain from using offensive material (racial, sexual, overuse of offensive language, etc.) We want to make the contest fun and accessible for fans of all ages. When in doubt, keep it Nintendo.
- If you don’t have the ability to edit the image, just leave it as a comment. We make sure to have a separate list of winners for this category.
- Photo editing and manipulation (i.e. Photoshop) is allowed, but these entries will be part of a separate list of winners for this category.
- Everyone is entitled to their own opinion at Zelda Dungeon. In fact, we encourage discussion based on those opinions. However, please do not insult other fans’ work. What may be funny to one person may not hold true for another… and that’s OK.
- Have fun and be creative!
Don’t forget to check back throughout the week and upvote your favorites, and, who knows? Maybe you will be one of next week’s winners.
