The Zelda community continues the trend of smashing two properties together (looking at you, Cadence of Hyrule) with Mark Kurko’s Ocarina of Time / Banjo-Kazooie crossover mod. Known as The Legend of Banjo-Kazooie: The Jiggies of Time, this full-sized Banjo-Kazooie mod features worlds based on iconic areas from Ocarina of Time.
This Banjo/Zelda mashup project has been in the works for over five years now and is finally getting an official release. According to a new trailer, the mod will feature nine worlds, 100 Jiggies, 900 Notes, and five Mumbo transformations. Kurko will first release the mod for subscribers of his Twitch channel on July 15, with a full public release coming July 22. According to the trailer, the game is even compatible with the Nintendo 64 console.
The game looks really entertaining, and it goes to show what you can create when you truly put your mind to it. This appears to be a nice treat for those hoping that a Banjo-Threeie will release some day. Even if you’re not a big fan of the Banjo-Kazooie series, Mark Kurko created something that looks like a fun nod to the Zelda series.
Keep an eye on Kurko’s YouTube channel for further updates. What do you think of this news? Will you be trying out The Legend of Banjo-Kazooie: The Jiggies of Time? Let us know in the comments below!
