Genesis Does What Nintendon’t in these SEGA-Style Remixes of A Link to the Past Tunes

So this is a bit of a confession time for me: I did not grow up with a Super Nintendo, but instead, a SEGA Genesis. However, I can’t deny the greatness the Big N brought during this generation, especially with the spectacle of its music. You have to wonder, though, what that giant catalog of tunes would sound like if they were injected with a bit of the SEGA magic that I grew up with.
That is exactly what The Legend of Renegade delivers with these SEGA Genesis remixes of the Dark Dungeon, Dark World, and the Death Mountain themes from A Link to the Past. I don’t know how Renegade does it, but it seriously sounds like these Zelda classics are coming directly from the console that I grew up on.
Renegade has also produced remixes of tunes from Red Earth, Castlevania, Street Fighter, Super Mario, Mega Man, Metroid, and a whole lot more. They even have a backup channel dedicated to game-style remixes for current and classic music.
What do you think of these remixes? Will you be checking out any more of The Legend of Renegade’s work? Let us know in the comments below!
