Daily Debate: What Is Your Favorite Piece of Music From Majora’s Mask?

Despite often being overshadowed by Ocarina of Time, Majora’s Mask has one of the best soundtracks of its era. The game has a wide range of music, with a diverse set of songs creating a variety of tones and moods. Overall, the game includes a large amount of fresh new songs as well as a some old favorites from previous Zelda games.
With this in mind, what is your favorite piece of music from Majora’s Mask? There are a variety of great songs that play throughout the game, so there are many different options. Majora’s Mask surprised and excited many fans by bringing back the original Overworld theme for Termina Field. Other returning classics include “Lost Woods”, “Song of Storms”, “Song of Time”, and “Great Fairy’s Fountain”, which are all beloved classics.
In terms of new songs, there are many great ones to choose from. “Song of Healing” and “Astral Observatory” are both mysterious songs that are instantly recognizable to longtime fans. The three Clock Town themes are perfect in terms of setting the atmosphere for the day ahead. Both “Majora’s Theme” and “Final Hours” are dark songs that help differentiate the game from Ocarina of Time. The Deku Palace theme is a high energy piece that creates a great mood for the much more complex Deku tribe of Termina. Majora’s Mask even has its own set of Ocarina songs including “Oath to Order” and “New Wave Bossa Nova”.
