Daily Debate: Would You Like To See Link With A Multi-functional Arm?

The teaser for Breath of the Wild‘s sequel has had fans in a frenzy since June of 2019. Theories and speculations upon aspects such as Ganondorf’s emaciated form or Zelda’s short-cut hair have emerged from the antsy nature of the fandom. A particular detail of the teaser was Link’s arm, there being a shot where Link lifts it, the appendage glowing green while his expression is in anguish.
Since the trailer’s release, questions have surfaced surrounding the purpose that “the arm” will have in gameplay. Some think it points to the magical power of the Zonai, yet this, much like the other mysteries in the trailer, is truly unknown. However, early concept art for Breath of the Wild shows Link with a multi-functional arm that looks much like the technology of the Guardians. His arm appears to have a throwable claw, a hookshot function, and an attachable hammer, cannon, and bow.
If Nintendo plans to implement unused ideas from Breath of the Wild, maybe this multi-functional arm will surface in the sequel. Whether adapted to the magic of the green hand we saw or built as a result of Link’s possible dismemberment, I think it would be an interesting gameplay element.
