What if the next Zelda game... had the same art style as the previous Zelda game? Well it might look something like this: Here are the fruits of my latest endeavor in Blender. #BreathoftheWild2 #LinksAwakening #BreathoftheWild pic.twitter.com/Mli7KrymDO

Artist Stephen J. Plant recently shared a few adorable pieces of mashup art depicting the Breath of the Wild sequel in the artistic style of 2019’s Link’s Awakening remake. Made in Blender, this collection of images asks the question, “What if the next Zelda game… had the same art style as the previous Zelda game?” and thus recreates three iconic shots from the sequel’s debut trailer. Dubbed “Ganon’s Awakening”, this title is obviously not in development, though that doesn’t mean this collection isn’t worth your adoration.
What do you think of these creations? Would you like to see the creator make more renderings of the upcoming sequel to Breath of the Wild in this style? Let us know in the comments below!

John has been a Zelda fan for over 10 years now and is proud to say the series has had a major impact on his life (and wallet). After years of going to Zelda Dungeon for guides or the latest news on the series, John achieved their dream when they joined the writing team in 2019; John can hardly believe how long it’s been. A librarian, he loves meticulously arranging his library of Zelda games and collectibles. After what felt like an eternity of waiting for Tears of the Kingdom, John looks forward to the future of the Zelda franchise with enthusiasm, whether that’s the upcoming movie, a new spin-off/remake, or the next big game.
