Photoshop Contest: Advent of the Nintendo Switch

Greetings, all you ZI fans. Let’s get another Photoshop Contest started before we move farther into the weekend. Unless you’ve been under a rock for the past few days, you’ve surely caught wind of the newly-unveiled Nintendo Switch. The console formally known as the NX wowed so many fans and industry insiders with its innovative approach to home-to-mobile gaming, and it seems to have sparked a renewed faith in Nintendo moving forward. We just couldn’t ignore the Switch in this week’s contest. So, show us your ‘shops featuring the Nintendo Switch, and don’t forget to check out the winners of last week’s contest: Alien Invasion with Ghosts from Majora’s Mask.

Challenge Mode

The Majora’s Mask Ghosts have only been known to abduct cows and the occasional farm girl, but last week’s Challenge Mode presented the opportunity for these invaders to abduct so much more. In a Photoshop Contest debut, artist Devonshowed us just how much stuff “They” could get the grubby hands on. National monuments, cars, boats, tanks, and Pizza Hut could not escape their wrath. And in a great foreshadowing to this week’s contest, it seems they secured an early version of the Nintendo Switch as well. Great job!

This Week’s Contest: Advent of the Nintendo Switch

There is simply no escaping the earth-shattering news of the Nintendo Switch. This new console promises customization and freedom that we’ve never quite seen before in the gaming landscape. And we’re nothing short of excited for the new games set to hit the platform, including the long-awaited Breath of the Wild.

The contest this week is to ‘shop any image you’d like featuring the Nintendo Switch, so long as it includes an element from The Legend of Zelda. You can offer some of your own lofty predictions for the new console, place the system in an unexpected place or situation, or just ‘shop together a silly picture of the thing. We’ve got some images in the gallery below to get you started, but please use the anything else you may find online.

General Rules: Submit your entries in the comments section below.

  • To save images from the gallery, right click the image in the gallery (without opening the image in lightbox) and select open image in new tab. Go up to the address bar and delete __small from the URL. Hit enter, right click, and save!
  • Photoshop is not required to enter the contest. Any image manipulation software can be used to create your entry.
  • Some hand-drawn fan art is okay, but your entry must include some image manipulation to be considered.
  • If you use another fan’s original assets or likeness, please try to give them credit.
  • Please refrain from using offensive material (racial, sexual, overuse of offensive language, etc.) We want to make the contest fun and accessible for fans of all ages.
  • Everyone is entitled to their own opinion at Zelda Informer. In fact, we encourage discussion based on those opinions. However, please do not insult other fans’ work. What may be funny to one person may not hold true for another…and that’s OK.
  • Have fun and be creative!

Deadline: Submit entries no later than Thursday at midnight: 11:59 p.m. PST on October 27. Entries submitted after this Deadline will not be considered.
