GameOverJesse, YuriOfWind, and other YouTubers uploaded a video that explains the birth of Hyrule as a physical kingdom. The YouTubers inspect the events of Skyward Sword, Ocarina of Time, and Twilight Princess as evidence for their theory. In Skyward Sword, one of the few races that can be seen are the Gorons, and the rock-like creatures have interesting jobs within the game. The three Gorons that Link meets are archaeologists, which leads GameOverJesse and his collaborators to conclude that these particular Gorons know a wealth of information about the surface and would be willing to pass down their information to the Skyloftians as they begin to settle back down on the land.

The Skyloftians who settle on the surface would likely want protection from the enemies found there, and the Gorons are not only knowledgeable about the land, but their physical make up is ideal for mining and stone work. The YouTubers theorize that the Gorons actually built Hyrule Castle as well as Hyrule Castle Town seen in Ocarina of Time. The friendship between the now Hylians and the Gorons is maintained and strengthened through the Hero of Time, but in Twilight Princess, it seems the Royal Family and the possible kingdom builders suffer a rift in relations. It is possible that in Twilight Princess, the Gorons became frustrated with the Royal Family’s demands for expansion.
