Awesome Games Done Quick 2016 Unveils its Zelda Lineup

A couple of great charity game streams during the year come from the folks over at Games Done Quick. We have one coming up at the beginning of the year in a couple of days as Awesome Games Done Quick returns once again to give us some speed running goodness. I’m happy as always to report that Zelda will once again be represented by some classics from the franchise.
Games Done Quick is a joint group that comes from two different speed running sites, Speed Demos Archive and Speed Runs Live. Two times a year, they do a week long charity stream on Twitch: one at the beginning of the year and the other during the summer. Each of these events features speed running some of the most nostalgic games around. Last year, Awesome Games Done Quick 2015 raised over $1.5 million for the Prevent Cancer Foundation. This year’s Zelda schedule for the charity stream includes titles from the series like Oracle of Ages (1/4), The Legend of Zelda (1/5), Ocarina of Time: Master Quest (1/8), Majora’s Mask (1/8), and A Link to the Past (1/9).
The Awesome Games Done Quick 2016 stream begins on January 3rd at 12PM EST and has its final speed run on January 10th at 12:01AM EST.
