A Blind Gamer’s Five Year Journey to Beat Ocarina of Time Has Come to an End

After five long years, a gamer by the name of Terry Garrett has finally beaten Ocarina of Time. Some choose to play the game blindfolded, and only use the sounds they hear to traverse the land and dungeons this game has to offer. Garrett did something much similar to that, because he is legally blind. You can imagine what a feat this was, and how proud his fanbase was when he finally delivered the final blow to Ganon.
Terry thanked “all those who have stuck with me through this series even after it seemed like I was giving up.” You can watch the entire playthrough here, but the final segment is embedded above.
It’s amazing how Zelda can provide fun even for those with disabilities. We at Zelda Informer congratulate Terry for his achievement, and wish him luck on any of his future endeavors.
