Rumor: Twilight Princess HD To Have Special Amiibo Functionality, Upgraded Giant Wallet, And More!
Posted on January 14 2016 by Kira Koneko
Yesterday saw the release of the latest Famitsu issue and inside was a four page editorial on Twilight Princess HD. With the game only a few months away from release, this only helped to light the fire of curiosity as to whether or not Nintendo would make changes to this remake or would they leave it as it was originally released, aside from the HD. There are currently a few rumors going around right now about a few different aspects of the game. First, in one of the scans that we shared with you yesterday from the Famitsu article, it shows a screenshot with a rupee count of 2000, which leads to the possibility of an upgraded giant wallet. Second, in another screenshot from the Famitsu article, it shows the possibility that there will be less Tears of Light needing to be collected in the game. The latest rumor to surface comes from a product listing on Amazon France that discusses several aspect of the game.
Head past the break to learn more!
In the listing from Amazon France when discussing amiibo functionality, there are several possible new features. The listing describes the ability to replenish your hearts, arrows and other consumables when you scan any Zelda amiibo. When you scan the Wolf Link amiibo it looks like that might unlock a new dungeon called, “Twilight Cave”, and any data recorded on that amiibo will be able to be transferred to the new Zelda title for the Wii U.
Hero Mode will be making a return to the title and it would seem as if it can be accessed from the very beginning of the game, as opposed to having to unlock it. Similarly to Wind Waker HD, the GamePad will allow you to access your inventory directly on its screen, so that you may select items without having to pause your game.
In the past, Amazon product listings have been pretty accurate but there is always the possibility that none of these features will be in the game. What are your thoughts? Do you think any of these rumors are accurate? How do you feel about an upgrade to the Giant Wallet or Tears Of Light changes? Tell us your thoughts in the comments below.
