Miiverse Highlights: Bombs + Our First #WeeklyPoll

Welcome to the second instalment of Miiverse Highlights, ZeldaInformer‘s brand new Thursday Weekly Feature! Last week we issued our very first #WeeklyChallenge, where we asked everyone in The Legend of Zelda Series Community to draw their favorite item from the entire franchise. For a higher chance to get your response featured on our site, people had to draw another character other than Link using said item. This week, we issue our first ever #WeeklyPoll!

If you’re new to this feature, here’s how things go down. Miiverse Highlights consists of two things, a #WeeklyChallenge and a #WeeklyPoll. When a #WeeklyChallenge is issued, Zelda fans will be asked to draw something based on the Miiverse Community the challenge is posted in for a chance to have their drawing featured on our site. A #WeeklyPoll, on the other hand, will ask a question based on the series or a specific game where, after the week is done, I will take the most-voted answer and choose the best drawings I can find all over Miiverse based on that answer.

Unfortunately, not many people took part in last week’s challenge, with only 4 people submitting responses. Because of this, we will be featuring all of the drawings we received. Hopefully we’ll receive more as Miiverse Highlights continues to grow, so please don’t hesitate to enter! In any case, without further ado, here we have our “winning” entries!

Our first drawing comes from the mind of TheInsultan. He drew us what I believe to be Skull Kid using one of the series’ most famous items, the Hookshot! I don’t know about you, but with Hyrule Warrior’s interpretation of the item causing Majora’s Mask’s moon to fall down, I’m rather terrified at the prospect of having the Hookshot in Skull Kid’s hands.

Next up we have a drawing of one of the series’ most destructive items, a bomb! This drawing, courtesy of Legendofgood, is really simple and straight to the point. There’s really not much to say on it. It’s a bomb.

Up next we have LinkDeHero‘s drawing, which just so happens to be the most intricate one in the bunch! Their reply consists of Tetra showing off the Roc’s Feather, while also wearing their favorite item, the Roc’s Cape, to an agonizing Link as he is about to be catapulted away. This is definitely an interesting twist to one of The Wind Waker’s most famous scenes. I can definitely see Tetra doing this, too, if she were to have had these items on hand.

Last but not least, we have our most unexpected entry yet! Necro-macro shows us their favorite item, the Bomb, being handled by one of The Wind Waker‘s most beloved characters: Makar. Don’t let his cute, jingly appearance fool you, for he is ready to unleash explosive chaos on anyone willing to face his wrath!

Although we didn’t receive as many as we would have liked, we are very pleased with the responses received and hope to see more in upcoming events!
