Hyrule Bass is a type of fish found in Twilight Princess. Hyrule Basses are quite aggressive when it comes to being captured, as they will jump out of the water to hit the Fishing Rod and make Link lose his aim.
Hyrule Bass is a recurring fish in The Legend of Zelda series.

Ocarina of Time
In Ocarina of Time, Hyrule Basses are common fish in the Fishing Pond that are quick to bite and easy to reel in. Two fish are present in the Fishing Pond; one is the Hyrule Bass, which can be caught with the standard lure, and the other is the Hylian Loach, which can only be caught with the Sinking Lure.
Twilight Princess
In Twilight Princess, Hyrule Basses are quite aggressive when it comes to being captured, as they will jump out of the water to hit the Fishing Rod and make Link lose his aim. They can be found in Hena's Fishing Hole, Eldin Spring, and other hidden water sources.

The Hyrule Bass makes a return in Breath of the Wild, and this time is a fairly common fish found in many rivers, lakes and ponds. It can be eaten raw by Link to recover 1 heart, however it can be used in a variety of Recipes in order to maximize its use. It can be cooked on an open flame into a Roasted Bass, which recovers an extra ½ of a heart.
Hyrule Bass are fairly common and can be found in many of the regions of Hyrule. They can be found early on within the Great Plateau, with four of them found in the pond just west of the Temple of Time. There are also six Hyrule Bass in the pond just north of the Great Plateau Tower. They are most abundantly found in Squabble River, just southwest of the Dueling Peaks Tower, as well as within a pond near Ubota Point in the Lake Tower region. There is also an abundance of them at the west side of Telta Lake, just north of Kakariko Village.
While on the Great Plateau, Link will find The Old Man's Diary, located at the Woodcutter's House. The Old Man writes about the Spicy Meat and Seafood Fry recipe, but he has unfortunately forgotten the final ingredient. He does remember that it includes both Raw Meat and a Spicy Pepper, but does not recall the final ingredient. The last ingredient is Hyrule Bass, and after Link cooks the recipe, he can show it to the Old Man to earn the Warm Doublet.
Cooking
Hyrule Bass can be cooked with virtually any other food ingredients to create a variety of seafood dishes. Adding a Hyrule Bass to any fish will result in a higher healing benefit, but it does not offer any additional upgrade to a meal.{{Ref|Breath of the Wild|An ordinary fish that can be found all over Hyrule.
