Link’s main piece of Clothing is a green Jerkin. Almost every young boy in Hyrule wears some type of Jerkin. The material is very light, yet it retains a unique insulating quality. It’s perfect for all weather conditions. Link will always wear it, but later in his quest he will want to improve his chances of survival by wearing Blue or Red Mail over the Jerkin. With the exceptions of The Wind Waker, Twilight Princess, Spirit Tracks, and Skyward Sword, Link always begins his quest with a Green tunic. A Link to the Past
Link begins the game with the Green Tunic, or Green Jerkin as it is also referred to as. Link will later be able to upgrade his Tunic be acquiring the Blue Mail and the Red Mail.
