Big Babas are enemies from Twilight Princess. They are basically a large Deku Baba, which has been combined with a Deku Like. This unique enemy appears only twice in the entire game, once within the Forest Temple, and the other within the City in the Sky. In the Forest Temple, they are guarding a Small Key, whereas in the City in the Sky, they are simply an obstacle.

Battles with a Big Baba have two stages. During the first stage, the stem and mouth of the Big Baba attempts to damage Link by biting or smashing him. Each attack causes half a heart of damage. In order to attack, Link can wait until the Big Baba starts an attack of its own, dodge it, and then slash away mercifully with the Sword while the Big Baba is defenseless. Once the head and stem have been damaged enough, they disappear, leaving behind the Deku Like it had once been attached to. At this point, the Deku Like opens up, allowing Link to throw a Bomb (or in the Forest Temple, a Bombling) inside it. This causes the Deku Like to explode, defeating the Big Baba for good. Unlike most enemies, Big Babas do not re-appear if Link leaves the room and re-enters.
