TerminalMontage’s “Something About” team has returned with another highly-anticipated, hilariously unhinged entry in their Ocarina of Time animated retelling. They have already done a number on Child Link’s journey, and the Adult Hero of Time’s journey to the Forest and Fire Temples. Now they have taken on depicting a spoof of the the infamous Water Temple.

This video is full of easter eggs, and most of all, it encapsulates the frustration we classic (Nintendo 64) players of Ocarina of Time all experienced when trying to navigate this watery fortress with no internet and no guides. We get to see Link growing more and more frustrated as he is missing keys for endless locked doors, trying to fight off Dark Link in a humorous, yet terrifying battle, and the team even hilariously included every single tedious instance of having to pause for Link to put on and take off the Iron Boots.

This whole video is comedy gold.

TerminalMontage somehow manages to outdo every single one of these Ocarina of Time entries; each one is better than the last. They include classic and familiar elements, completely relatable situations, and a mix of dark and hilarious humor that never grows stale. You can see they put their heart and soul into this series to appease us crazy Zelda fans. Hopefully we can expect that they will pay every classic temple in that game homage with more videos in the future! If that’s the case, it looks like they will have a total of seven parts to this series, which is totally fitting, considering that seven is the number of years that span during the adventure.

Also, don’t forget that TerminalMontage’s signature is adding one last treat after the end credits on each video! I, for one, can’t wait for the Shadow Temple video and all its shenanigans, which is likely next up in this series!

What did you think of the video? Let me know in the comments!
