Nintendo Introduces Echoes of Wisdom NPCs on Social Media, Releases New Overview Trailer

The Legend of Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom is now less than two weeks away from release, and Nintendo continues to accelerate the hype train. The company has not only spent the last week introducing fans to the game’s wacky cast of characters on its various social media accounts, but it capped off the week with a snazzy, sweeping Echoes of Wisdom Overview Trailer.

The brand-new Overview Trailer echoes (pun intended) all the information we had seen in Echoes of Wisdom‘s past trailers. It provides a comprehensive look at the new adventure’s story premise, game world, and gameplay mechanics. There’s nothing new here per se, but it is quite nice to see all that Echoes information in one place.

Beyond Nintendo’s video output, the company has also been utilizing its social media accounts to share new information about Echoes of Wisdom. Most significantly, the company has spent the past week introducing followers to some of the non-player characters we’ll meet during Zelda’s adventure.

Stamp Guy, for example, has been a mysterious figure seen in the periphery of Echoes of Wisdom‘s official art for a while now. Thanks to Nintendo UK and the official Zelda X account, we now know this character’s name (I was calling him “stamp guy” long before it was official) and a bit more about his role in the adventure.

Next up is Echoes of Wisdom‘s Great Fairy, who will apparently make Princess Zelda a “fashionable lady.”

The following two characters have not been named yet, but both seem to relate to minigames that we’ll see in Echoes of Wisdom. The first is an acorn guy, who is introduced with a little song.  It looks like we’ll be racing to collect acorns in his minigame.

And the second is a martial arts guy, who apparently heads up the “Dream Dojo,” where Princess Zelda can fight hordes enemies in dream-based arenas. If you take a look at the screenshot showing off the dojo, you may notice a shining sword displayed in the background. That has to be a reward, right?

Nintendo has introduced us to one new character a day this week, so who knows what else they’ll have for us the next two weeks. Keep an eye out on the company’s official X accounts for further updates!
