Harmony of Heroes: A Super Smash Bros. Tribute Album
Posted on October 14 2014 by Meg Bethany Read
A new, free, fan-made
Super Smash Bros. tribute album has surfaced online. Named Harmony of Heroes, the album contains 7 and a half hours of music, utilizing various different genres such as jazz, orchestra and, of course, includes the infamous Donkey Kong rap. The album totals at 101 songs and contains contributions from fans across the globe. It tributes music from the original Super Smash Bros., Super Smash Bros. Melee, and Super Smash Bros. Brawl, and includes almost an hour of music from the The Legend of Zelda franchise alone.
The creator of this large-scale project and collaboration, Darren Kerwin, has already directed two musical tributes previously – both
Metroid-themed albums. Kerwin and his team stopped at nothing to make sure that this fan tribute was nothing short of perfect, even enlisting professional help such as the likes of Alvin Wee, assistant music engineer for Final Fantasy XIII: Lightning Returns and Kingdom Hearts HD 2.5 Remix, and Grant Kirkhope, composer for Donkey Kong 64.
Harmony of Heroes is available to download now from their official website in both MP4 and M4A (Lossless) formats completely free of charge. If you don’t wish to download the entire album, it is possible to download music from individual franchises so if, for example, you’d like to just download the The Legend of Zelda music, you can.
Which part of the album do you love the most? Let us know in the comments!
