A Sad Final Farewell Salute to Zelda William’s Father, Robin

For those who don’t pay much attention to news outside of the video game clique you are in, Robin Williams has passed away. Reports claim it to be a suicide and we won’t bother to even guess as to why he apparently did it. He was just 63 years old, married, and had an amazing family. Whatever the case may be, we can’t change what has occurred. This touches us at Zelda Informer deeply and it’s understandable if it touches you too. In the Zelda world we best know the Williams family because of their work advertising Zelda games over the years.
Robin Williams was known to be a rather big Nintendo fan, specifically The Legend of Zelda. This is why he named his daughter Zelda Williams. Most of us didn’t know who she was at the time, but thanks to many ad spots with her father for games like Skyward Sword, we quickly began to recognize her:
While we’ve taken out a small moment of remembrance and silence on Social Media, it is only fitting we do so here too. I personally choose to celebrate his life, rather than dwell on the current tragedy. Our thoughts and prayers are with the Williams family tonight. This one’s for you, Robin:
