TL;DR/W: Starting in Kansas City, Google will be offering 1Gbps broadband connections. I'm pretty sure that's both ways.

I remember this article years ago in which Google held a contest to see which city was most worthy of having it.

Kansas City won because they renamed their town "Google" for the day. :xd:
