If all the Links were to battle, who would be the ultimate Link, and who would be the weakest Link?
Based on the main series games, including maximum heart containers, items, etc... Who has the highest potential
I've used this to determine weapon strength.
Some other things to note; the spin and jump attacks do 2x damage up until TP where from then on they only do 1.5x damage

[Which Link
Maximum Heart Containers
Best Sword
Best Shield and Armor
Other Items]
  • HC: 16
  • Magical Sword-4
  • Magical Shield: Can block most projectiles as well as most fireballs and magical attacks unless they come from a boss
  • Red Ring: Reduce damage taken by 1/4 plus the shield magic from AoL which reduces damage by 1/2
  • HC: 20
  • Golden Sword-8
  • Mirror Shield: Can black most projectiles
  • Red Mail: reduces damage by 1/4 or Red Clothes: Attack x2
  • HC: 20
  • Master Sword-2 or Biggoron's Sword-4 but unable to use a shield
  • Hylian Shield (Not using the mirror shield as they both function the same, but the Hylian Shield can deflect most projectiles where as the mirror shield usually destroys them)
  • Nayru's Love: Prevents all damage but not recoil for exactly one minute
  • HC: 20
  • Gilded Sword-3 or Great Fairy's Sword but Unable to use shield-4 or Fierce Diety's Sword but unable to use shield-4
  • Mirror Shield: Can deflect most projectiles
HC: 6
Four Sword: can split Link into four versions of himself
Shield
Armor Seed: Doubles Link's defense
  • HC: 20
  • Master Sword-2 or a number of two handed weapons which do 4 but unable to use a shield
  • Mirror Shield: can reflect certain beams of light.
  • Magic Armor: prevents all damage but continually drains magic. *In WWHD it also takes rupees instead of life and will shut off when Link runs out of magic and or rupees
  • HC: 8
  • Four Sword
  • Shield
  • HC: 20
  • Four Sword
  • Mirror Shield: "turn any projectile attacks into beams that shoot back at the enemy. The beam does not fire when hitting an enemy physically, thus acting as a standard shield."
  • Master Sword
  • Hylian Shield
  • Magic Armor: Prevents all damage, while draining 2 rupees every second and 12 when hit.
  • Great Fairy's tears: Restore all hearts and double Link's strength for a short time
  • HC: 16
  • Lokomo Sword-2
  • Shield
  • HC: 20
  • True Master Sword-4
  • Hylian Shield: Does not burn or electrocute, and has infinite durability
  • Sacred Bow-8
  • Guardian potion: Cuts damage Link takes in 1/2 for a short time
  • HC: 20
  • Master Sword Lv3-4
  • Nice Hammer-6
  • Hylian Shield: Can block magic attacks and fire attacks
  • *many outfits Link could wear such as the Sword suit which doubles his sword attack, or the Queen of Hearts which gives him three extra heart containers
Then there's BotW Link who has a huge collection of clothes and weapons that I don't really know about.
So who do you think is the strongest Link?

Now that I think about it, the master sword usually does 2 damage in ALttP, OoT, WW, and ALBW. In BotW it's base attack is 30 so this can mean one attack point is 15. Although in the oracle games it's rating is a 5, and in SS, a 4 though SS can be explained by the sword recently being made and having full power rather than being ancient like in other games after it. So this means the magical sword of the first two Zelda games would be 60 and the Golden Sword from ALttP would be 120. Then again this is more speculation than anything.

Master Sword, Fully Unlocked
Champion's Tunic(fully Upgraded)
Hylian Shield(can block pretty much anything under the sun).
Ancient Bow:
With Bomb
Fire
Ice
Or Ancient Arrows(pretty much incinerates anything on contact).
Runes(since all of his items are just on his little rune slate, he gets all of the abilities).
Stasis+: Can freeze enemies and objects in time for Link to wail on them
Magnesis: can grab anything metal
Cryosis: Can Freeze Water
Bomb+: Bombs
Camera: for awesome mid-battle selfies

Innate Abilities:
BotW Link actually gets innate abilities throughout the game:
Mipha's Grace:
Fully restores Link, plus gives him more hearts than maximum, functions like a fairy.
Daruk's Protection:
Makes Link invulnerable at will and can be used up to 3 times. Can deflect magic and laser beams.
Urbosa's Fury:
Creates a lightning storm a good distance around link. Very deadly. Can be used 2 times.
Revali's Gale:
Lifts Link about 100 or so feet in the air, allows him to glide around and stuff. Great for escape, can be used 3 times.

BotW Master Sword would be 60 in this fight though, since it is surrounded by ancient weaponry, and the various incarnations of the triforce.

I would say by far the most OP Link is ALTTP Link. 8x damage sword and 4x defense, plus the OP medallions.

Breath of the Wild Link, for mainly one reason: Perfect Dodge. I was actually imagining a fight between TP Link and BoTW Link yesterday, and I decided it comes down to an attempted Mortal Draw that gets Dodged. But yeah, if you manage to Perfect Dodge one of the other's Link's attacks, Ol' Breathy gets in 8 free spanks, unless it's a spear in which case you get 10. Depending on the weapon that can be anything between 'painful' (let's say a basic Royal Broadsword) to crippling (Savage Lynel Crusher with a boosted attack rating of 106). He can also Parry attacks with his shield for a chance to disarm opponents. Wind Waker Link can do his own form of dodge-parrying, but those can miss if the target moves. Breathy also have either the widest Spin Attack or is tied for the widest spin attack with OoT Link and ALBW Link, but he does not require outside help to achieve it since both of those other Links have the increased spin attack bestowed upon them from someone or something else.

Zelda 2 Link wins.

He can spell your ass into a blue bot. Or Thunder your ass to death.
I feel like he comes in either second or third. He has his spells and his ability to jump, which puts him well above most Links in agility. But he may have trouble closing distance with his lack of bow and short reach when compared to things like spin attacks or Zweiheinders like the Boggoron sword. Also, honorable mention should go to ALBW Link for having lots of practice fighting enemies that fight like a Link, thanks to the streetpass feature.

Oh, also Breathy can be immune to thunder with the right gear.

Since Zelda 1 and 2 Link are the same person, I've decided to count them as such, meaning their inventory from both games is available to them, so he would have his bow, as well as his spells.
ALBW Link would be pretty strong as well considering he also has purple potions which unleashes a powerful attack.

Ancient weaponry doesn't amp the Master Sword, being near Ganon's influence does.

From what I understand, the master sword in BotW only gets +60 when it's fighting evil such as malic, guardians, or Ganon other wise it's +30

Don't forget that it's only got that weakness because it was damaged in the fight with Ganon 100 years prior to BotW. 100 years ago, Link could fight a whole horde of Lynels and Bokoblins by himself with nothing but the Master Sword and he barely got a scratch. The Master Sword in BotW may be the most powerful its ever been before it got damaged.

It's not that it matters what you're fighting, it matters what is near you. So for instance, if you're near a Guardian, it's going to power up because the Guardian is possessed by Ganon. Some part of him is nearby. But if you hit a Bokoblin with it, it's still going to be powered up. Also, if you're in Hyrule Castle, where you're surrounded by Ganon's evil, then it's going to stay powered up the entire time.

All TP Link would need to do is wear his magic armour until Breathys swords all broke then he would be able to chase breathy down who would run out of stamina during fleeing and then he would get murdered.

Meh, not really. It runs out of Rupees even when you're not taking damage. Besides, All Breathy needs to do is hit him with a shock arrow, and he'll drop all his stuff. Can't kill anything if he doesn't have a weapon.

Also, something that should really be taken into consideration is Breathy's regenerative ability. I mean, any other Link will have what? Four bottles? Six at most? Of course, one of those bottles is probably a fairy for emergencies, while the rest can be blue potions. That's all fine and dandy. But Breath of the Wild Link annihilates all other competitors when it comes to health items. Even if you only count cooked food slots (of which he has 60), and stock them with items that will fully heal Link up to his 30 heart maximum, and use each one when Link is at .5 hearts remaining (because not all Links use quarter hearts, so that is the lowest common denominator of health) then he has a total healing capacity of 1,770 hearts (29.5 x 60). On top of that, he doesn't need to sacrifice any of those slots to hold Fairies.
