Thought that with the rise of 3D printers and that Gamnesia article recently, I'd start a thread here re: 3D printed Zelda fan art (and show off some of my own works). Very interested to see what y'all might have come up with as I'm not entirely satisfied with the selection on Thingiverse, MMF, etc.

And my own works? Well, I've been working with Shapeways seller Doctor Octoroc (http://www.shapeways.com/shops/doctoroctoroc?li=pb) to make some very nice full-colour prints using a Z-corp 650. As shown in https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8JNWserrdeU&t=1s , it uses powder mixed with ink and binding agents. Doc Octoroc has been doing the file design based on game-ripped models and textures, and I bring the items to life (at a lower cost than Shapeways - I think).

So far, I've made a King of Red Lions (shown here without the sail assembly, as that was damaged in transit on the way back from my local Comic Con) and Makar. Today I'll be making another Makar, this time with Violin and bow. Next...maybe Medli? Possibly the WW mailbox, because I can get a WRL file for that. Doctor Octoroc and I both really like Wind Waker, so we'll probably focus on that for a while.

The Forum won't let me upload photos so I've hosted them on Flickr at https://flic.kr/s/aHskQPLqfE
