Default Spirit Tracks UK Commercial #1

The Spirit Tracks hype train continues along the tracks as commercials are now starting to hit your TV sets across the world. The very first commercial is now available and you can watched it just below.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Y_ksXqXdKDU

The video has a short scene of Princess Zelda and Link by the train, and it also shows them meeting up with Link's Phantom friend. A person can be briefly seen standing just behind Princess Zelda early in the commercial, but it is unclear who this person is.

The scene of the phantom transforms into an advertisement of the Spirit Tracks tin and figurine set that we reported on a few days back. In the UK, you can pre-order Spirit Tracks and get the tin and figurine set at game.co.uk.

The video has been added to our Zelda Commercials and Spirit Tracks Videos sections of the website.

At around the 4th second of the trailer a rito is behind Zelda whom I believe might be related to the royal family like the Zora's were in the past. You can see the rito beak on him if you look closely enough. However then again it might possibly be Link's mentor or something... I'm really not sure. Da** Nintendo's silence! We don't even know who the main antagonist is in the game and it's less than four weeks away! I'm starting to think that there might not be one at all... but that's unlikely. Oops I rambled a little... sorry!

Now as for the guy that Link stands in front of Zelda to protect her from him... I honestly think he's a robot. Seriously no kidding!! I actually think that thing is a robot. It would probably happen one of a few ways... scenario #1 is that it's a timetraveling robot from the future which has artificial intelligence and is trying to wipe out the human/hylian race/enslave it. Scenario #2. is that it simply is a very advanced form of Armos statue. Scenario #3. is that it's an alien robot trying to colonize Hyrule.

Fairly neat commercial. Made awesomer by the British accent.

But, is it just me, or have the Zelda commercials gotten less awesome as of late? We had all those awesomely lame NES and SNES commercials, then we had the epic ones for OoT and OoX, the creepy one for MM, and the mysterious WW one... then the semi-generic MC commercial and completely generic TP one.

Can we please have cool ones again?

Maybe the US or Japanese commercials for ST will be better.

That same character is shown more clearly in the other screenshots and trailers, and he isn't a Rito. He looks a lot like Gonzo, one of Tetra's Pirates, from Wind Waker.

But I would really like to see Rito in this. Koroks too. Especially considering that we haven't seen either since WW. Since Spirit Tracks is supposed to happen after Phantom Hourglass, I find it likely we'll see both races, and that would make me really happy.

True but this was when I hadn't seen the trailer (which was like a day after I found this on the site news) and before I saw the screenshots. And honestly I would love to see Koroks and Ritos in there too. But the Koroks are unlikely and the Ritos are somewhat unlikely too. But so far it's possible. And yes now that I've seen him he does look like Gonzo (he even has the same tattoo on his chest!) and it's very likely as Tetra and Link colonized it.
