K, so should I skip ahead to where Link comes in? Cuz the first few chapters focus on Mario, Samus, Animal Crossing (lol) and so on...

I'm not sure. I'd ask Mr.Mosely about it.

Personally, I think it would be alright to post the entire thing (not just the Link-centric chapters) with a note on what kind of a fanfic it is, but I would still ask Mosely and see what he thinks.

I mostly put in the "Zelda-Only" rule when I wrote the rules to discourage people from posting their *completely* Nintendo-unrelated fanart and fic from random anime, or from posting original stuff - since this is a Zelda board, but I don't see much of a problem with Smash Bros. fics as long as Zelda characters are a part of the story somewhere.

To me, it depends on if the previous chapters, and the following chapters, affect what is going on in those chapters that Link is a part of. I would say, that if they did, you could post the entire thing (cause it would get kinda aggravating for the ones who wanted to read it all, to be left with a middle and no beginning/end). So if that's the case, post it all (preferably linked, if its very large).

If you wrote certain parts that don't pertain to one another, you would just put the Link one in. It all depends on how your chapters are written. If they intertwine, put it all. If they are all separate and don't rely on each other, just put the Link one.

Unfortunatly, I wont be posting Worlds anytime soon...I've run into several plot holes, inconsistensies, ect...plus I still dont even know how to implement Master Hand! Several ideas had to be discarded, cuz I decided to go with a back-to-basics approach for the first installment.

I had an idea for a fanfic late last night, but it's not LoZ-related. I just now looked at this thread, and this section is only for LoZ-related things. Is there another place I could put it on ZD, once I finish the first part?

Right now, there are no locations that you would place fanfic writings or ideas not pertaining to Zelda. This forum is the only true location for fanworks, other than the Graphics forum, which is solely for avatars and signatures.

In the future, we might expand this forum to include other works as well. It all really depends on two things: How well this forum does as being just Zelda-related, and how much interest is gained in posting other works. So, by mentioning this, Moosh, you are showing interest in having a section to post those kinds of pieces. There have been other members like yourself to show interest as well. Unfortunately, at this time, there isn't enough interest to expand. But, we will likely discuss it in the near future.
