In Stone Tower Temple as a Goron I do the stomp to put out fire around switch but no matter how quickly I run and roll the fire is still there when I get to it, what am I doing wrong? Is there another way? I think I am going to be stuck here forever!

In that part of the game, I suggest you get A pot, box or something to push down the switch. OR Use one of the songs from your Ocarina, like the Elegy of Emptyness.

I suggest refraining from using the Deku form when using the Elegy of Emptiness, it is VERY light and it is very useless.

No, suz39 is speaking of the scenario where Goron Link has to stomp down a switch that reveals a Deku Flower in which Deku Link must jump to. Well, my best advice is to get there as quick as possible. It took me quite a while to get down there. If you feel like dropping, move the analog stick backwards, and you'll get more airtime. In this part, agility is the key. Elegy of Emptiness is not going to help you in this. The room I'm talking about is the one with the lava and the Deku Flowers.

Yet, to answer your question, use Deku Link. At least for the room with the lava and poles with the Deku Flowers. Of course, there's also in that room a broken fairy and a bunch of rupees. It has been a while since I've been there.

Your right, statue doesn't work here, I tried before asking for help. This is the room where you have to drop down into lava as Goron, stomp on switch then get to other side before flame engulfs that switch then go back climb up ladder and fly around "U" to chest that was engulfed with flames, right before first mini boss. Thanks anyway for your suggestions, I will keep trying
