Yeah, I too love the idle animations- they do truly make the character more human-like. But Sonic is just evil, he always makes me feel bad for leaving the game running. Although he doesn't have to practically fall asleep on you sssss
ANyway, finding Link sneezing has compelled me to see what other rare-ish idle animations Link does in OoT, so instead of finishing my English Literature Essay, I started compiling a list of what he does where (the teacher's off ill anyway... and I feel such a dork)
(format is "action: conditions needed for it to happen"):
--
General
- Tapping boots on ground: anywhere, one of the most common actions.
- Looking around: Just about everywhere in the Overworld, as well as some large caverns/dungeons.
- Adjusting Belt: anywhere, usually does this after he's tapped his boots.
- Shivering/Sneezing: caverns, graves, near undead enemies, cold places like the Ice Cavern. (and in the Windmill since it connects to a grave)
- Wiping sweat of his forehead/nearly fainting: hot caverns/dungeons*, and other hot places like the Gerudo Desert.
- Yawning: various places, often dungeons or Goron City/Zora's Domain, sometimes in the overworld coupled with looking around.
Special
- Swings sword in flourishes: anywhere stood idle with sword unsheathed**
- Less than 3 hearts- slumps over, coughing & wheezing
- Pets Epona- idle while riding her.

*I have yet to check this in detail, idk if the presence of lava affects this or not either.
**I don't know if there's any difference between having a one-handed sword and a two-handed sword equipt.
An interesting thing I found was all the idle animations have both a Young Link and Adult Link counterpart.
Anyway, I'd better get back to my English...
