I read an article where the author pointed out that the title "The Force Awakens" may need to be re-interpreted beyond just Rey after seeing The Last Jedi. The Last Jedi seems to emphasize the balance aspect of the force, and Snoke said something about light rising to meet the darkness rising.
I really liked the movie. I thought the movie was a bit long, but the last 45 minutes or so included some of my favorite sequences ever. I liked Mark Hamill's performance more than I did in any of the original trilogy which I love.
Here are some other thoughts on the movie.
I could totally be wrong, but when I watched that scene, I assumed that the screams were of people nearby looking at the planet exploding in the sky. There were lots of people standing outside of Maz's castle so that's where I thought the source of the screams was. Either case is possible though...
People on Star Wars forums have pointed out that "jedi" can be used as both singular and plural. The last jedi can technically mean the last two (or any number) jedi as well as the sole last jedi. I like the title - it's going to drum up a lot of speculation and excitement.
