I know this is a fallout 4 thread but idc.
I'm about to start up Fallout New Vegas. Bought it ages ago for my X360 but never got around to it. Now that's it's available on backwards compatibility I'll give it a whirl.
Anyway, what should I know about it? How does the skill tree work and are...
I've been so apathetic towards this game. I was hyped when I got it, but now it lies uncompleted on my list. I'll probably finish it at some point. The more I played it, the more mediocre it became.
Gotta figure out how to record video. Had some sweet races. It accellerates slow, but damn its fast. And it makes a futuristic 'whiring' sound while driving.
@Matt I borrowed Forza 6, but have Fallout on my PC. If you don't mind, you can send the code my way whenever you get it. I'll post up some pics and videos for you of the addon.
I was thinking Minutemen or Railroad too. I haven't met the Institute yet, but as Dan says, I guess I still have time to choose. I doubt I'll side with the institute or BoS this go around, and the Minutemen are just way to 'safe'. Too cookiecutter good guy-type. Railroad it is! Do any companions...
So I'm having a little trouble deciding what faction to side with. I'm at the mission where I choose a faction to make that thingamiggy with that will take me to the Institute. What do?
I'm definitely going to make a save before I choose, and just revert after each playthrough to finish them...
Ah, thanks for the clarification. Didn't think I should add those number together, so I failed to realize it's only $40 worth of content with more on the way. Thought that was it.
It makes it more tempting, for sure.
I guess I'll be the devil's advocate, but I'm not to impressed by the DLC offerings, excluding the Far Harbor DLC. I was super stoked about settlement customization when the game came out but its been lackluster, so I'm not too into the robot customization stuff. Had my heart broken once...
Few glitches here and there but its still a damn fine game. More focused on the action aspects than RPG when compared to its predecessors, and much more streamlined, but that's not a bad thing IMO.
If you're playing on the Xbox One, be prepared for slightly longer load times when compared to...
I'll most likely stick with it. It's just frustrating when I can only play for an hour or so a day and spend 40 minutes dicking around in the editor and actually getting nowhere haha. Wish someone releases a mod soon to streamline it a bit more (or Bethesda patches it).
Also, who are your guys'...
So I'm 30 hours in. Does the settlement stuff have any impact what-so-ever? Or is the most impactful thing they do is allow you to create shops and stores (thus giving you more caps)? I'd like to put time into it, but honestly the editor is so bad I'm just ready to forget it all.
I actually tried twice to get into Fallout 3 but I was so apathetic towards it. But something about Fallout 4 pulled me in. Quite honestly, I had more fun in the first 30 minutes of F4 than I did in 3 hours of F3. Look at some videos, and see if its right for you.
There are a few things Fallout...
I'm loving this game. Solid 8.5/10.
The animations during conversation are a little wonky and workshop builder mode leaves a lot to be desired (they could have taken notes from Halos Forge mode) but overall, it's very addictive and fun
You can build a power suit work station in town, or access a pre-built one. Sanctuary and the Red Rocket near Sanctuary are two places that have it (its yellow in colour). Use it as a regular craft station by bringing your armour there. Then hover over each broken piece and click the repair...
Sadly its a part of gaming. Such a vitriolic community of misfits, trolls and brand-fanboys.
Graphics don't make a big deal. As long as it looks nice, regardless of its resolution, if its 900p or 1080p, or whatever, I'm happy. I'm hoping to hit around 40 frames, 1080p, on my PC. I'd even settle...
