I didn't read his entire post but it seemed good. Remember there are plenty of PC gamers who didn't get the PC master race was a joke to make fun of them, just mind blowing ignorance.
And I agree with what DarkOne posted, if you present a point about consoles holding back PC in a respectable...
I really didn't get any more bug impressions from New Vegas than I did any of Bethesda's versions. I remember nothing but good times with New Vegas, and even if that was the case I'd gladly take their writing and quests over Bethesdas. NV <3.
Sadly too late for most players. I did have the mod half-way through my campaign but most people got stuck for the entire game without it unless they just bought the game recently. Also modders ideally wouldn't have to fix the developers mistakes.
I'm sure had I played it recently I'd be able...
I've never played with SkyUI, and I never played Dragon Age so I can't comment on those. I just know that there were so many times that things were needlessly complicated and ugly in Fallout 4. Things that come to mind, not all UI only:
Power armor has to be placed just perfectly outside of...
Yeah it's just a little too generic. It needs more innovation and spark to it. Plus that awful awful UI needs to be fixed. Fallout 5 I hope is VR, Imagine the immersion!
Far Harbor is better though.
I don't know what I'd do without my PC lol. It's my baby.
Wish I could afford a nice X34 Predator monitor w/ Gsync. Only $1300. I almost bought one with my tax returns, and I almost bought an HTC Vive too. Ended up working out that I didn't since I ended up needing a new car.
Maybe next year.
I think Far Harbor is pretty good so far, much better than the last ones. The only problem I have now is that I'm extremely overwhelmed in my life in terms of time and where to apply my brain power. Playing Far Harbor is stressful because of that, and I can't fully enjoy it. I might just have to...
I'm a couple hours into Far Harbor, seems decent so far. It's kinda hard to jump back into the game with so much time off, and having played Doom recently Fallout 4's UI and gun play leaves so much to be desired.
I think paid for mods are fine if its done right. I think Steam jumped the gun and didn't handle it properly. Honestly I'd like something built into steam that's kind of like a pay what you want type system, and whatever you do decide to pay can be split among steam/creator/developer.
Kind of like the Silver Shroud story being under utilized, I think the detective work with Nick could have been far larger, and far more challenging. Imagine actually having to solve some seriously difficult cases without the use of in game UI hints. This is why Fallout 4 bothers me so much, it...
The pilot example simply shows that you can see more information at a higher FPS, it doesn't mean it you'll be able to process all that information of course. But think about that in terms of gaming. If for 1/255th of a second I see someone in the corner of my eye that is all the information I...
While the brain does fill in a few blanks, it's already been proven that fighter pilots can see other planes up to 255 fps. Will the average person see FPS that high? Probably not, but the more training or practice you have the more potential FPS you can see. I've been playing high level gaming...
Graphics are def not the most important thing, and I'm constantly trying to get stupid PC Master Race fanboys to give games a chance that aren't perfectly tailored for high end PC's, but at the same time I do love me some good graphics anyway.
What bugs me about PC gaming is not so much the...
Ignores how SOME games actually work. Those games are programmed like crap, doesn't mean it has to be that way. If developers started conforming to higher standards this would be a non-issue. In the world we live in now not all games will be perfect at 60 FPS, but they will always be better...
Some things won't benifit from the high end rigs but believe me there is a difference between 2560x1440 compared to 1920x1080, even with a ****ty made game like Fallout 4. You just need to see for yourself. Also 30 FPS looks like **** in motion on any system.
If you haven't seen Fallout 4 in...
I'm sure, and I am talking in a pre-modded state. I don't really judge games based on their mods, since that's an experience not everyone will play or be willing to do. Fallout 4 by itself just isn't as good as I hoped.
Also I played Fallout 3 and NV on launch (bootlegged versions at that) and...
Now that the game has been out awhile and I can look at it with some hindsight, I must say Fallout 4 is an extremely forgettable experience. Some games that I beat actually become better in hindsight. Like recently I had beat Resident Evil 0 a bunch, and The Evil Within, both of which the more I...
I think maybe I took too long off, or I'm out of stuff to do.... probably both. Guess I'll wait for DLC? I have nearly 300 locations discovered, I'm sure there are more but at this point they'd all be randomly found.
Well tonight is my last night with Fallout 4 for awhile. Sending out my power supply, and I'll be playing Uncharted 4 beta/PS4 while I wait for it to get back!
Hit level 81, 150 hours played, not bad! Only little stuff left really... afaik.
Okay I narrowed down my follower choices, Curie and Nick Valentine. Seems like Curie is the obvious choice since I'm romantic with her, but I do think Nick is pretty cool character so I occasionally swap her out. Piper is a great runner up but Curie's accent, mmmm.
If you guys aren't using idiot savant, you're going to get left in the dust in terms of XP! Just a tip! Even with 10 int it's worth it.
Anyway, I found 2 good outfits for the female followers. I don't have good enough pickpocketting to get the red dress yet.
Well since the perks stick with you I am leveling them all up, but I'm going to have a tough time deciding between Piper, Nick Valentine, and Curie. Having trouble finding sexy outfits for Piper and Curie though.
I will always have my handy exploding shell shotgun on me.
Kind of... but I wouldn't think its necessary if you don't enjoy it. Really the most they offer you is a ton of EXP... but the require a lot of time and parts.
Defending them later on can be a bit fun, and there some tactical advantages to having more settlements (like artillery strikes)...
I agree. I always thought that Fallout 3 was a little better than NV because I liked the DC area and the darker atmosphere, but lately at least objectively I understand why a lot of people prefer NV. I think if I were to play them all again I might choose NV as my favorite, what you said just...
Okay guys, I finally beat the game. 122 hours played, and level 63-64ish.
I'd rate the game 8.5/10. The ending is a huge huge let down, and just an FYI there is basically nothing unique about it. Now I'll say my 3 least favorite things about Fallout 4:
Ending should have been more tailored...
Well in a bit of bad luck something is going bad on my computer or there is some other hidden issue. 60 hours of flawless Fallout 4 and now I can't go 20 minutes without my computer crashing. :'(
I'm sniper/shotgun and working on heavy weapons and pistols now. I'm level 41, 71 hours in. Max level sniper is brutal :D, but I don't think any weapon I have non-heavy can compare to the exploding round shotgun legendary. It's INSANE.
I installed the dialog wheel mod, it works great.
Finally!!!! No more **** dialog wheels. http://kotaku.com/fallout-4-mod-lets-you-see-what-your-character-is-actua-1743246493?utm_campaign=Socialflow_Kotaku_Facebook&utm_source=Kotaku_Facebook&utm_medium=Socialflow
To me the dialog wheel is extremely dumbed down. So much so I've had to reload saves because the choice wasn't anything like I would have wanted. Old style would have been perfect.
