Yeah they could have had the guy who gives Link the sword for example already be in the cave, but some artist spent time making the white cloud animation - that's why I think there is some significance. It's almost like he's a spirit who only shows up when someone's watching.
For the Demon King Costume Packs that sounds like either some glitch occurred and they didn't realize you already downloaded it, or they forgot to differentiate the two packs.

When you defeat an enemy in Wind Waker, it explodes in a purple/black cloud. Around 2003 my friend watching me play exclaimed "it's the energy going back to Ganon!" I'm not sure if...
I think it's disappointing that the maidens in A Link to the Past don't have names, other than Zelda. I mean, she is a main character, but the other maidens richen the world too. Maybe we can convince Nintendo to give them names? What would be some fitting names for these young ladies?
I can kind of see that interpretation, with him walking away from her, but let's also keep in mind the Deku Tree allowed Link to stay in the forest before assigning Navi to him, calling him the "boy without a fairy."
Where was she going to go I wonder... smack her face on the Temple of Time...
Think of it this way... Link is praying with/at the statues and not directly to them. The goddess statues are depicted with their hands folded like they're in prayer, after all.
Yeah I've always thought of Kokiri forest as Neverland, it just appears at the very beginning of the game instead of being a destination. And Zelda is a big believer!
