I think these ritos are further evolved/developed than the ones in WW. I like the design personally. Didn't really like how they looked in WW. Too much human and not enough bird in that design, especially Medli.

Actually my guess is you have to fight it somehow to get inside. I can see them being aggressive to protect whats inside. Which if I recall correctly, is some sort of dark goo that we have to eliminate. Or perhaps the characters with the blue scarves have a way to tame it. Probably through music.

The beasts are huge but try to fit in like almost any other dungeon in past zelda games into them would just be unrealistic. It wouldn't really scale well. And im pretty sure there was an article saying the dungeons in this game weren't traditonal sized.

I hope there are more traditional dungeons included in the Botw besides the 4 divine beasts and the DLC dungeon. 4 similar mechanical themed dungeons that have basically been confirmed to be small doesn't sound like it will make the game very long. You could easily just go to them and knock it...
