ATTENTION HEROES
As you most likely know, crime rates are rising. Our police force is toothless and our city council corrupt. Our city is in danger of becoming a place of fear and death. However, there are some of us who can help. Those with special training and powers who are willing to fight for our city. But we can't do this alone... no, we have to band together.
Sign up here, fellow superheroes, and join me, Comet, and we will reclaim our streets.

Name: (Mild-mannered identity)

Super Name:
Powers: (No powers are okay. Just mention that here)

Backstory:

Name: Jason Jones
Gender: Male
Age: 35
Profession: Police detective
Appearance: Tall, short red hair, with freckles and little upper body strength. His legs, however, were bulging. Just a family thing - the Jones' had a history with large calves. He has light-colored skin, blue eyes, and remains in a somewhat athletic shape.

Super Name: Comet
Powers: Has the ability to change his own perception of time. Super Speed comes included.
Costume: What started out as bright yellow running shorts, an under armor shirt and a home-made domino mask evolved into knee-length yellow spandex with a red racing stripe up the sides. His top was a yellow shirt with a red neckband and cuffs. On his head he wore a red cowl, with no visible holes, painted with a yellow demon's face he decided would look somewhat frightening. He could see and breathe through mesh in the mask, though they were tough to see from the outside. He learned to sew expressly for the purpose of making it, so don't diss the costume.
Backstory: Jason Jones was born with an innate sense of bad timing, but had no sign of his future powers. Son of a cop and a bookstore owner, he grew up in Star, but his parents were always distant. He ended up spending most of his time with his friends, Tim and Dick. They grew up together, explored the city together, and were inseparable... until they were forced apart. When he was 16, while exploring an abandoned factory, they came across a gang of thugs in the middle of an arms deal. They tried to get out, but were caught, and tied to some old lightning rods so that they could be dealt with after the fact. However, a freak lightning storm came in at that time, and hit the lightning rods. Both Tim and Dick were fried, but Jason somehow managed to survive, though his brain was addled. He literally viewed the next few hours at a faster than normal pace, but could barely move, as his brain had been almost rewired. The cops came in soon after - they'd been watching the place, waiting for the deal to take place - and Jason's life was spared. He went to the hospital for a few months, where his brain slowly shifted back to normal. A few weeks before his seventeenth birthday, he was let out, and allowed to resume his normal life. Soon after, his mother went ill, and died. His father emotionally separated them. He threw himself into his work, seemingly forgetting about his only son. Jason tried to return to life as it was, but it just wasn't the same, and he spent the next year a ghost of his former self, spending most of his time alone, brooding. During that time, he learned that he had the powers, and learned to put them to good use.
On his eighteenth birthday, he ran and didn't look back. His father tried to reach out to him about a few years later, but he wouldn't listen. His father all but abandoned him that year, when he was at his weakest, and now he didn't seem to deserve getting back in touch.
He recently returned to Star after his father was killed in the line of duty. He returned for the funeral, and learned that, despite his limited contact home, his father still left everything to him. Among everything else, he found a letter of merit from the old mayor to his father. A letter telling of all he had done for the city. Benjamin Jones was a good cop and a good man. And, Jason couldn't help but think, could've been a good father again, if only Jason had opened himself up again. After some time, he decided to continue his father's legacy, and joined up with the force. However, he soon learned what had become of the city, and realized that, if he were to keep his father's legacy alive, he'd need to go outside the law.
Using his powers, Jason became... Speedo. After realizing the sheer stupidity of the name, he changed it to Comet, and has set himself to protect his city. He hoped his father would be proud. Not long after he began work as the Comet, he met Lupus, The Wolf, while trying to solve a murder case. After he learned of The Wolf's innocence, the two began to work together to keep their city safe.

Ooo. Can I do a thing?

Name: Clarisse Manning
Gender: Female
Age: 16
Profession: Student/Truant/Street Fighter
Appearance: Tall and athletic, with a lean body for a girl. Has long hair that she seems to dye blue, that she braids behind her back constantly with her bangs in her eyes. Blue eyes, crooked teeth, yet relatively attractive features. Dresses like a tomboy, though.

Super Name: Why not? Let's call her Fang. Calls herself that because A, it sounds tough and B, her teeth do look like fangs at the right angle.
Powers: Super Strength
Costume: It's pretty simple, actually. She cobbled it together with what little money she could get. An earthy green leotard with tank straps, some brown shorts to avoid female hero stereotyping, a good sturdy pair of boots, and some bad-*** fingerless gloves with an attempt at a 'logo' stitched on. Also a headband the same color as the leotard, to hold her hair back while she fights, and some goggles like for a fighter pilot for her 'mask'.
Backstory: Her parents were scientists, and long story short she was born with powers. So were her three siblings, though each of their powers were unique from each others'. They were all originally going to end up bred-and-born 'heroes', but... OK, long story short again, they got out of that situation.
They now live on their own, attempting to get proper educations without getting anyone's attention. The oldest of them did end up using his powers to steal stuff they couldn't afford (though he never actually got to any 'villian' status, he was just kind of an outlaw who 'somehow' didn't get noticed), so Clarisse started making up for it by stopping other crimes with her powers. Then she totally got into it, and made herself a proper hero persona.

Name: Thea Mcknight
Gender: Female
Age: 21
Profession: Scientist
Appearance: 5 feet, 9 inches, brown hair, and blue eyes. Generally nice, looks like someone you could trust with anything.

Super name: Textra (nicknamed Tex)
Appearance: She has the ultimate disguise, she changes herself so people won't recognise her.5' 9
Powers: Ability to instantly turn her skin into any substance she touches. Can absorb more than one substance, but cannot mix substances
Costume: leotard, with black leggings, and a skirt that goes about 1/4 inch above her knee.
Backstory: Thea's parents died in an "accidental" fire that supposedly destroyed their life's work when Thea was seven. When she was sixteen, she found a video from them that said she had been injected with a serum that gave her special abilities. She has since then dedicated her life to helping people. Only real family is a brother who also lives in Star City. One time, before she became Textra, she saw someone get murdered. Thea knew that was wrong and after watching the news for about a week, she realized there was too much crime in the city, and that she could do something about it! SHe became the Textra at the age of 18, and has been happily stopping crime, then leaving the area before the police get there.
(Sorry, I'm awful with backstories)
Besides the name, is this character accepted?

Well, I could be annoying and say that it has to be breakable, but you implied it's just really hard to break, and also, hen was the last time Green Arrow's arrows broke?
I'll let ya pass.
