For gaming and other 3D accelerated stuff, Fraps is hard to beat. For just plain desktop recording, VirtualDub is my tool of choice. It does way more than just screen recording, but among it's many functions are video capture from any device, including the screen itself.

Matters to me a lot too. Video games accompanied some of the greatest (and saddest) parts of my life growing up and now those games take me back in time.

I typically prefer dubs. When I sit down to watch something, it's so I can relax, and mandatory reading requires a few more percent of my brain power than I care to invest in relaxation. :P

All of them. :P Really, the Gameboy, SNES, N64, Gamecube and Wii all have awesome titles I wouldn't want to be without.

If it's just sort of a poll thread (like this one) I'll usually just skim a few posts and say my piece. If it's a discussion I do my best to read over everything that's been said.

I haven't really thought about it before -- they're kind of hard to rank, since I like them all to some extent. My selection will probably be weird to a lot of people. Insurrection and the 2009 movie were good, but score lower just because I've seen them enough times that I'd rather watch...

The SNES version (Final Fantasy "III") can be had used for around $30 USD on eBay/Amazon. It's also available as part of Final Fantasy Anthology for PSX, which is around $10-$15 used. I can't single out a favorite from my collection, but Super Mario RPG, FF7 and FF9 are all up there. Zelda...

Not necessarily my favorite, but I'll bring up a seldom-thought-about one: Mounds! Yummy! :) Probably would have to choose Hershey's dark chocolate. After that, Reese's PB cups are great... and Twix bars... and Mounds... Skittles and M&M's are great too but they aren't a candy bar.

The first Super Mario Galaxy. Second one was probably just as good objectively speaking, but couldn't match the first one's originality IMO. (Liked the hub, soundtrack, characters and levels in the first one more too.)

Final Fantasy IX jumps out at me as being one. Objectively (if that word applies here) that probably was the biggest one for me, but I also get very sentimental with titles like FF4, FF6, FF7, Chrono Trigger, Super Mario RPG and Zelda: MM, mainly just because they bring back the feelings of the...
