I think the limit of the magic meter is to make gamers more strategic and not to just go crazy with items because it will be way to easy. Take for example TLOZ, you needed rupees to fire arrows and it keeps you saving them and using them wisely, i dont think its a hindrance, if the meters...

The Deku Mask. Why? because it is the mask that has the deepest story, sad and crazy at the same time. Because it is the beggining of your adventure, it will make you feel helpless just like the premise of the game, and of course he can fly damn it! haha

I do agree with your comment because Odolwa is way to passive this time, however i did noy use the Deku Flower in that battle nor in the N64 version, I defeaed him just with arrows and my sword although it was boring in the 3DS. However the other boss battles are a blast!
