Return to Termina?

What if Nintendo make another Zelda game set in termina, Years after Link saved it from the suicidal moon? That link became legend, and his feats as a hero, shrouded in the mists of time.....And now Link is back. But a new link. born in termina, on the 10th anniversary of termina being saved. And the villain....Ganondorf's shadow. Or rather, for the majority of the game it is his shadow.
Badly beaten by link from Hyrule, He is struggling to escape. He has managed to come through in his shadow form, from the sacred realm, but needs dark power to manifest himself in termina. He casts a shadow across the land, and Dark energy spreads. Termina falls into ruin in some places across it, and Ganondorf's power grows. Link, the hero, has to defeat him by finding the center's of several dungeons across termina And destroy the dark cores. If he can do that, He won't need any sages.
Ganondorf simply can't manifest himself in termina without Those power nodes of Dark energy. He will be sucked back into the sacred realm.

So waht does everyone think of this? A zelda game set in termina?

Well, that sounds pretty interesting. It would be neat. The game being in Termina is a good idea, but maybe we need someone else besides Ganondorf? He's been in most of the games, but he wasn't in MM, so if there's a new game in Termina I don't think Ganondorf should be the antagonist. Not Majora either though, because it was sort of a one time thing. I can't think of any good new evil characters at the moment though.

it'd be interesting to a see a remake of termina with more up-to-date technology, but ganondorf probably shouldnt be the villain...

maybe a dark sorceror similar to vaati or something attempting to corrupt the power of the four guardians and trying to control termina, unlike majora who was trying to annihilate everything...?

That sounds very interesting. I would certainly buy it, but I agree with an above poster that Ganon should not be the villian.

It definitely sounds like quite an interesting idea, if it were a game I'd buy it. However, a few things. I would really like to see another original villain other than Ganondorf. Also, I think it should include a little bit more detail about how Termina falls into shadow, whether or not Ganondorf is in it.

Well it's of course better than anything I could ever come up with, and of course I'd love to see Ganondorf or Ganon again since he rocks, but I think that Termina and Ganondorf conflict in my mind. Termina to me is a sidequest, something apart from the main series of Ganondorf, Link, Zelda, and Hyrule. To me, Ganondorf and Termina stay apart.

I also think that, if this is going to take place in Termina, moreover 10 years later, that there should be more areas to explore, e.g. more towns and the like.

I also think it would be interesting if you could see how people changed, as in Ocarina of Time, over the decade. Furthermore, I think some of the same characters should be kept, whilst introducing new ones, some which may be related to the old ones. Just an idea.

Maybe. We could even have a new hero. One that saves Termina, one that really isn't even Link, and a whole completely other thing, same characters maybe, but everything else, the story, the hero, completely different.

I liked MM, and would love to see another game in Termina. For the main boss, an idea that would be perfect would be the Fierce Diety, or at least someone who gets his mask. There could be two main possibilities here

1. The main boss is someone who acquired the Fierce Diety Mask, and runs rampid, somewhat like Skull Kid done with Majora's Mask, but not the same plot.

Perhaps if the Fierce Diety character was thought to be the actual hero who saved Termina, the Hero of Time, or at least his spirit reborn. Thus, all the people of Termina would respect him greatly. He would then use their trust to overtake the land and begin to spread his dark magic to all the inhabitants of Termina, which is where Link would come in to stop him. Of course, this would create a problem between the people of Termina and Link, as they would think you are the evil one trying to destroy their Hero.


2. The game takes place when the Fierce Diety was still around. The player would control Link, as usual, but it would be a different generational Link, who wouldn't actually wear the same clothes, but something like the traditional Link getup. Lets say have the hero become the Fierce Diety in the end, and show how his power was sealed within the mask.

Like if the hero gained some kind of power, becoming the Fierce Diety, but couldn't control his own dark powers. It would eventually begin to take over his mind, and he would begin to become evil. This is when the hero would find a way to rid himself of the darkness, which would become the Essence of the Fierce Diety, After defeating him as a final boss (like fighting Dark Link at the end of AoL), he would be sealed within the mask.

That's true....What other villains are candidates? I cant see General onox Being the villain. Butif the villain changes, the quest cant happen.
Link had to destroy Dark power nodes that are letting Ganondorf slip through to termina, but if Ganondorf isnt the villain there needs to also be something else that needs destroying, unless the villain is, like ganondorf, trying to slip through to termina.

But then, who could this villain be?
