Electric dungeon. Kind of like a combination of the Great Bay temple in MM and the Goron mines in TP. Everything is electric powered and you have to find ways to manipulate the electricity to get around.

    And congrats

lolz thx I was hoping for a kind of sky temple or something like that ( or at least take place in the sky) sort of like a city in the sky dungeon, i think zelda needs more of those types of dungeons. Maybe the boss could be a dragon or bird-like creature Thats really all im hoping for, as well as the basic forest fire water thing in the beginning, but then more different dungeons later in the game.

I think there should be a magnet themed dungeon. I dont know how this would work but the boss could be a big rock guy

That kind of goes with the Goron Mines in TP doesn't it?

I think they should make more dungeons that make actual sense for why they're there and fit their actual purpose. Twilight Princess tried this idea many times, but only succeeded once. Snowpeak Ruins was the home to some Yeti creatures. It felt like a home, and it was laid out like a home. Some examples of failures are the Goron Mines. I understand why they're there. But they don't feel like mines at all. If they are, they are extremely inconvenient to be mines. Others are like the Forest Temple (excuse the name, don't remember, although I believe that's it) I don't see the point of why it's there and it definitely doesn't fit any theme. How is there some random ravine in the middle of an enormous tree?

Anyway, on the actual topic, I think an interesting dungeon would be if some potion shop dude was expanding his shop when he accidentally found some secret tunnels where some evil worshipers of the bad guy (Ganon?) were there. The tunnels are secretive, which is how the cult wants to be, and would have a shrine where the boss would be held, perhaps the cult's shaman or whatever. They could have some sort of magic power and the enemies would consist of average cave monsters, as well as the cultists. Poor idea, but I've been playing Oblivion lately

I would like to continue to see the original beginning dungeons to remain as the trio of the forest dungeon, fire dungeon, and water dungeon, I'm original like that. What I would like to see though is an earth based dungeon like in Wind Waker.

I copied and pasted my idea from the other idea thread:
A castle inside Lake Hylia that holds the grave of King Zorain, the first king of the zoras. The item you get is a wind rod. It's use is to blow away dust, darkness, enemy armor, and bombs. There are several mirrors and walls were you use the wind rod to enter symbols and reveal songs to play in certain parts of the dungeon. The boss would be against King Zorain's spirit covered in armor.I forgot to mention this but the wind rod costs magic to use.Blow away his armor then lure him into the light.Attack his tail.Repeat till dead.Since in my idea of a zelda game you fight a form of ganon in every dungeon, this would be the moldorm form.Lure into light to knock him unconcious.Use Wind rod to enter the letters of "Light".First do "L".Repeat process and enter "i".I think you get the picture. After that slash the tail once to win.The reward is the bane of water. In my game you restore power to 2 gods which give you items to help you in your journey. The god that gets the bane of water is Windark, the wolf of dimensions. His reward for bringing him the bane of water is the water bombs.

Hope you like my idea, it also involves some of my plot ideas.
    By me
    I have Viper,THP,Zemen,medli,Argorok,bunny link,fawful,goombella,Dr.Nefarious,Red,Private Oasis,the great clock,and Bell Tower.They fight with the zora mask and Water/ice powers

Like Epwna, I'm also going to paste an idea that I wrote in a different thread.

I really liked Snowpeak Mansion in Twilight Princess. It would probably be too soon to do another house, but if there were, a kind of haunted house would be nice, like the Winchester Mystery House. That's the one in San Jose where the owner supposedly believed the spirits that killed her family were coming after her, so she built an amazingly massive mansion with lots of crazy twists and turns, such as staircases leading up to the ceiling, so that the spirits wold get lost trying to find her. Though I'm terrible at mazes - I'd be horrible at my own dungeon. *sheepish*

That being said, I like the idea of elemental dungeons, but with bigger twists on their theme, or a more unusual order (imagine the water dungeon coming first and being easiest.) A forest dungeon could literally be a forest, rather than a temple inside the forest. An idea I had elsewhere was that the water dungeon could be on an ocean floor, examining shipwrecks. Fire dungeon, I'm having a little trouble with (we've already had on top of a mountain and inside a mine). But it seems like it would mesh well with a steampunk design (I just tend to like my dungeons more 'natural.' Magic is always a good explanation, though. *g*)

I would also like a mini-dungeon whose enemies, in a sense, remain defeated after you clear it. So it would seem deserted, but in actuality, if you wander through it enough, you would suddenly be confronted by several mini-bosses you didn't meet the first time around (probably ghosts/spirits). There would have to be a purpose of it other than that to make the wandering less annoying, though - perhaps it being the only place you can get a refill of a certain item.)

Zenox: Through I agree with you but I also disagree with you the reason why the ravine is their is because if you look at the entrance... a ravine... a way bigger tree behind the entrance... theirs light in the ravine room... so the room must be a connection to tree to tree.

Through it didn't really have a theme.

What I'll like to see: I want to see something like the shadow temple from OoT and the woodfall temple in MM that would be cool make them non linear and make sure the forest level is no tutorial dungeon like in OoT

I'd like to see some more "dungeons", that aren't just caves or temples. Perhaps more experimentation with different sorts of structures, but also other kinds of places, outdoor areas. Elaborate graveyards, coral reefs, cliffs, towns. This could be very cool. We need more variety!

[3/6/2012 10:04:34 PM] Tim: TP had pretty awful aesthetics for the most part

[3/6/2012 10:04:45 PM] Tim: but mostly, it was just bland.
[3/6/2012 10:04:53 PM] Tim: Had all the personality of an MMO.
    [3/6/2012 10:04:57 PM] Tim: a FREE MMO.

I like this general notion, and specifically I think that something in a cliff face or a coral reef is a really good idea. I like how they had one in an abandoned mansion in the last game. I have always thought something in a mountain top monk's retreat or something would be kind cool.
